The story

Watts closed his Eve trilogy with this scene of shame, after She Shall Be Called Woman and Eve Tempted, painting versions from the late 1860s until 1904. Eve hides her face so her body carries the remorse, and his wife Mary saw the series moving from strength to weakness.
