The story
Van Loo painted Diana's bathing nymphs again and again, with other versions in Braunschweig, Arles and Berlin, where one was destroyed in 1945. He hid his signature on the ground beneath a bathing nymph, and the canvas later traveled in the exhibition Becoming Rembrandt.
