The story

The canvas seems to have been cut down on three sides and may be a fragment of a larger bacchanal. It entered the Rijksmuseum in 1903 as a work by Caesar van Everdingen, until the scholar Sturla Gudlaugsson recognized the hand of Jacob van Loo.
