The story

Toulouse-Lautrec painted a small group of couples in bed in 1892 and 1893, often read as lesbian couples, as he spent more and more time in Paris brothels. A work titled Au lit, le baiser sold at Christie's in New York in 2015 for about 12.5 million dollars.
