The story
Collier painted Homer's enchantress nude from behind, flanked by a tiger and an ocelot, with a puma and two boars behind them. It was a success at the Royal Academy's 1885 Summer Exhibition and later traveled to the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago.
