The story

Here the nymph takes charge, laughing as she pulls the satyr toward her by his goatee. Honthorst signed and dated the canvas in 1623, and by 1721 it belonged to Lothar Franz von Schönborn, whose collection was kept at Schloss Weissenstein in Pommersfelden.
